Storiara is pre-production software for film and TV. Upload a script and Storiara breaks it into scenes, cast, locations, props, wardrobe, and other elements. From that breakdown you build the stripboard, the budget, and the call sheets, and Storiara reads and writes Movie Magic Scheduling and Budgeting files so you can work alongside the rest of your team.

Upload a PDF, Word, Final Draft, Fountain, Highland, Celtx, or WriterDuet script. Storiara reads the structure straight from the file: scene headings and numbers, INT/EXT, time of day, page counts in eighths, and the speaking characters. Elements already tagged in Final Draft come in as breakdown items. AI then fills in the rest (props, wardrobe, vehicles, extras, effects, and more), and every item it adds is checked against a line in the script. Highlight any text in the script to add something it missed. Scanned PDFs without a text layer can't be read.

Beginner is a free 7-day trial with unlimited stories and a monthly cap on AI features. After that, Producer is $39.99 a month for unlimited stories and AI use, and you can add collaborators for $19.99 a month each. Studio is custom pricing for companies running several productions.

It builds the script breakdown, fills in the cast Day Out of Days from your stripboard, and drafts a budget from the script. For the budget, AI only counts things like shoot days, extras, and vehicles; every amount comes from rate tables and union and guild rates (SAG-AFTRA, DGA, WGA, IATSE, and Teamsters), with fringes. You arrange the shooting schedule yourself on the stripboard, and Storiara warns you about unavailable cast, long days, turnaround, and late meals as you go.

Yes. Import a Movie Magic Budgeting (.mmbx) or Scheduling (.mmsx) file, work on it in Storiara, and export it back. Budgets keep their accounts, fringes, globals, and groups, and the schedule reports follow Movie Magic's layouts. Scripts go in and out as Final Draft files with their tags.

Yes. The Programs page lists film incentives, grants, and labs, and estimates what your project could earn from its locations and spend. Storiara can also tag every budget line with whether it qualifies, so you can see qualified spend at a glance. Program rules change, so check the details with the program before you rely on a figure.

The Producer Room is a meeting with AI department heads, such as a 1st AD, a line producer, and a locations manager, who look for ways to save money on your schedule and budget. Each idea is priced with your project's own rates before you see it, and only the ones that hold up are shown. Apply one with a click, or undo it.

Yes. Invite collaborators to a story by email and give each person a role, such as Producer, Assistant Director, Cinematographer, Department Head, Accountant, or view-only Crew. The role decides which sections they can open and whether they can see or edit the budget. Cast and crew also get a personal link to their calls, availability, and documents without making an account. On the Producer plan, each extra collaborator costs $19.99 a month.

Your script is stored with your project and sent to Google's Gemini models to create the breakdown. Under our Terms, you keep full ownership of what you upload. Call sheets and availability forms are shared by personal link and open without a login, so send those links only to the people who need them.

Yes. Budgets export as Movie Magic Budgeting files, Excel, or PDF reports such as the topsheet. Schedules export as Movie Magic Scheduling files, and as one-liner, stripboard, shooting schedule, and Day Out of Days reports in PDF or Excel. Scripts export as Final Draft files. Actuals export as a CSV for QuickBooks Online or Xero, and call sheets download as a PDF or go out as a personal link per person.
