A breakdown turns the script into lists each department can plan from: who is in the scene, where it takes place, and what has to be on set.
Breaking down a script by hand means reading every scene with a set of highlighters and copying each prop, costume, and character into a sheet. Miss a prop and someone is driving to a store at lunch. Storiara does the first pass with AI, and you review what it found.
Elements By Department
Props, wardrobe, vehicles, animals, stunts, special effects, and music cues come out of the pages grouped the way a breakdown sheet groups them.
Scene List
Scenes are split at the INT. and EXT. headings, with page counts in eighths measured from the PDF. AI adds a short description and the time of day.
Checked Against the Script
Each item the AI pulls out is checked against a quote from the script. Items you add by hand stay put when extraction runs again.
Used Across the Project
The lists fill Locations, Cast & Crew, Assets, and Music & Effects, and the scenes go onto the stripboard.
