Backstage

Paste a Backstage profile URL into Storiara to pre-fill a cast or crew member's name, headshot, and union status. Email and phone still need to be typed in.

Script import

Final Draft

Storiara reads Final Draft .fdx files and builds scenes, characters, locations, and props from them. It is import only, with no export back to Final Draft.

Calendar

Google Calendar

Cast and crew can fill Storiara's availability form from their Google Calendar busy times. The import is read-only and never adds shoot days to any calendar.

Microsoft Word

Storiara imports screenplays saved as Word .docx files, reads the text, and splits scenes on INT. and EXT. headings. Older .doc files and exports are not supported.

Storiara imports screenplay PDFs with a text layer, keeps your original pages in the script viewer, and measures each scene in eighths from where headings sit.

Data import

CSV and XLSX spreadsheets

Upload a CSV or XLSX file to Storiara and it maps your columns to Locations, Cast, Crew, or Equipment fields, then lets you review each row before importing.
