How to join a class with a join code

If your instructor uses Storiara, they'll give you a class join code. Entering it links your account to the class, upgrades it to full access while you're enrolled, and adds My Assignments to your sidebar. Stories you create become visible to your instructor through the class.

You need your own Storiara account first. Sign up with your school email if your instructor asks you to, since that's how they'll recognize you on the roster.

Steps

1. Sign in to Storiara.
2. Open Account Settings from the account menu.
3. Scroll to Classroom Access.
4. Type the code in Enter Class Join Code. Upper or lower case both work.
5. Click Join Class. The button reads Joining... while it checks.
6. When it succeeds, the card shows the class with an Active Member badge.
7. Click My Assignments in the sidebar to see what's due.

What changes on your account

While you're in the class you get full access: unlimited stories and the AI features that are capped on the free plan. Your instructor can open the stories you submit, which is how they review a stripboard or budget without you exporting anything.

Leaving a class

At the end of term, go back to Classroom Access and click Leave Class, then confirm with Yes, Leave Class. Your account returns to free-plan limits and your instructor stops seeing your projects.

If it doesn't work

• "Invalid Code" means no class matches. Check for a mistyped letter or number and ask your instructor to re-copy it.
• "Class is Full" means the instructor's subscription has no open seats. Tell them, since only they can fix it.
• "Already in Class" means you joined earlier. Look for My Assignments in the sidebar.
• No Classroom Access card? Instructor accounts don't have it. If you teach and study, use a separate student account.
